About the OwnerMy name is Amber Adamson. I started my caking journey in 2010. It's been an amazing journey for me. It's been a wildly fun ride, and I wouldn't change a thing.
I have two children, and an amazing husband I would do anything for. My downtime consists of family adventures and fun cakey side projects. I also work part-time taking care of developmentally disabled adults. I have been featured in DIY Wedding Magazine, Cake Masters, American Cake Decorating Magazine. Cake Geek, Satin Ice, Mashable, Buzzfeed, Inked Magazine and a few others have featured me in blogs. Satin Ice has featured me several times on their blog and The Baking Sheet featured me as their first artist spotlight interview. I started my first collaboration in May of 2015, called Sugar Myths and Fantasies, of which my team pulled in a win for Best Collaboration from Cake Masters. I sell tutorials on line, and make quick tip videos in my spare time. If someone were to describe me in one word, I would say cheerful. I'm a very happy person and spend a lot of my time making sure people around me feel loved and cared for. It's a balancing act between a parttime job taking care of developmentally disabled patients and finding time for cakes. In 2011, I owned Top Tier Cakes for All Occasions, and it got so popular so fast that I rarely had time for myself. So I had to back away for a bit. I took a job working in two bakeries that I later found out, weren't my forever home. I missed doing things my way and in my own time, so I found my way back and am at it better than ever. I've revamped a little, and changed my name a tad, but it's fatastical and I wouldn't change my journey for anything. I have big plans for my future and I'm humbled with each new step in my journey, at which I'm forever learning and growing as I go! |
